HTC’s Surround has taken a backseat to the HTC HD7, mostly in-part to the HD7 being one of the first Windows Phone 7 enabled devices to show up on the net. The HD7 is on T-Mobile while the Surround is on AT&T. Both smartphones are running the latest Windows Phone 7 operating system and have very similar attributes.
We have not yet been able to get any free HTC surround offers but as always, we’ll bring them to you if and when we do. There is a great HTC HD7 giveaway going on now though, click the large phone above to enter. Feel free to drop a comment if you have any thoughts on this phone or would like to inform us of a giveaway!

If you have a contract with T-Mobile or are thinking of switching to T-Mobile, you may just be in luck, assuming your after a Windows phone.. Although several resellers have been one-uping each other on the price of this phone, Wal-Mart seems to have declared victory.
If you’re in the market, Wal-Mart can set you up with a 2-year contract and an HTC HD7 smartphone for 149.99. Ideally, we like to report on free Windows phones but a deal is a deal. We’ll keep an eye out as the Holiday shopping nears closer!
Overview of the HTC HD7
T-Mobile and HTC announced the HD7, the first Windows Phone 7 device to be sold by T-Mobile. Windows Phone 7 offers a new Start screen, which was designed to make it easier for users to get a glance at what their family, friends, and social networks are up to. Bing search is built into Windows Phone 7, which is fully integrated with Microsoft Exchange.
The HD7 is the natural progression of HTC’s HD2. It has a 4.3-inch screen and T-Mobile touts its entertainment features. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios and support for T-Mobile’s UMTS/HSPA 3G network. Other radios include GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Wi-Fi and FM. Leaked video of HTC phone running WP7 ^
Once thought that Windows Phone 7 Smartphones will launch exclusively on AT&T is now a thing of the past. Late in the game, T-Mobile announces that they will be carrying HTC phones running WP7 this Holiday season, specifically, October 11.
Many Windows Phone 7-enabled phones have been announced and it’s shaping up to be an exciting launch. With the large market for smartphones that may have single-handedly been started by Apple’s iPhone, competition will be fierce. Only time will tell if Microsoft will revive themselves in this space.

Press events, live demos, leaked videos, all of these things are bringing us closer to what Microsoft is really doing with Windows Phone 7. Complete and seamless synchronization with not only Zune but Xbox Live.
As you can see, if you have an Xbox Live account, you’ll be able to see what your friends are up to, read and listen to messages, send out messages and almost anything else that you would normally be able to do if you were at home on your Xbos 360. What we are hearing now, Microsoft will add 50 games at launch that will be supported by the Live service and sync achievements to Xbox Live. You’ll also be able to play with other Xbox Live or Live players via Turn-based games like Backgammon. Below is a list of games expected to launch with Windows Phone 7.

Windows Phone 7 seems to be picking up some momentum as the US release date nears in November. The key feature will obviously be a competing application marketplace comparable to the Android app marketplace. Microsoft reports betas to have been downloaded 300,000 and counting. This shows an obvious interest in the platform although all downloads won’t necessarily lead to a developed application. Interest is definitely building.
Microsoft will start accepting applications into the marketplace in October. If you are a developer, this may be your chance to beat the waves of applications once the reviews are in and the press has had their fill come November. Although a release date of smartphones running Windows Phone 7 have yet to be confirmed, it’s safe to assume that several will be making their way to cell phone carriers this holiday season.

As you are well aware of, Apple has been very much against adding Flash support to it’s devices. Some companies have gone as far as to create on-the-fly conversion of Flash to HTML 5 as a page is loaded. Microsoft has said on several occasions that the Internet browser(a modified version of IE7-8) will indeed support macromedia flash. A spokesperson recently gave an update on how things are going with the Windows Phone 7 software. In regards to the Internet browser, Microsoft is waiting on Adobe to fix in final bugs or glitches before testing can begin on Microsoft’s side.

There has been much hype around when Microsoft will be shipping the first Windows Phone 7 smartphone out and thanks to to some a vigilant filmer and a slip-up from Microsoft’s COO, Kevin Turner, the news is out.
Turner was honest about Microsoft’s poor performance in the Smartphone department but was quick to say that the game wasn’t over, Microsoft would redeam themselves in October for the UK and November for the US. The statment was enough to spark a frenzy, the first Windows Phone 7 would hit the market then.
We are dedicated to scouring the internet looking for free Windows Phone 7 offers, giveaways and contests. Most of the offers we find require basic contact information. This is normal, they will need a way to contact you and to send you your iPhone 4G if you win. Some offers work in the way of you completing a short survey in order to be entered and others require that you sign-up for a trial offer and refer other people to do the same. The offer you see in the header is our best offer! All you need to do is complete the survey!
